Visual Artist

I have always felt more like an artist than anything else. I had some incredible early sculpture training as a boy and I coasted on that until the mid 1990s. As my science career waned I started to do more sculpture in the evenings, and then went part-time at the university so I could take classes at local art schools. By 1999 I started to find even medium-sized sculptures physically challenging and began to look at other art forms.  Eventually I stumbled across Paul Chizak who taught me how to paint in I way I think as "sculpting with light".  I haven't done much with clay ever since. Unless otherwise noted all paintings on this site are oil on canvas.

Many of the paintings were sold, or are with friends and family.  I had a gallery in Calgary and Ottawa that sold my work, but the gallery went bankrupt, and a few paintings were lost.  Oh well.
