Still Life

In the early 2000s I had no great desire to do still life paintings, but when I was told they were an essential learning tool I signed up for a class. It was hard just doing shapes in blank and white, so I did the class again, and again until I was allowed to add color. I now enjoy doing still lives, albeit sometimes with a drift towards the darker or surrealistic.
